Top 5 mistakes I made using a VPN on Stake

I wish someone had told me this before I started...
1. Forgetting to Turn on the VPN Before Logging In This might sound silly, but I made this mistake more than once. If you access Stake even once without the VPN, your real IP is logged. That can lead to getting flagged or worse — banned.
Lesson learned: Always double-check your VPN connection before opening Stake.
2. Using a Free VPNI was trying to save money. But free VPNs are slow, unreliable, and worst of all — often detectable.
Stake can recognize some of the most common free VPN IPs. Result? Sudden disconnection or frozen accounts.
My advice: If you're serious about privacy, invest in a solid VPN.
3. Choosing a "Banned" Country on My VPN At first, I didn’t realize not every country works with Stake. Even some countries where crypto is legal are blacklisted on Stake.
Big mistake. I had to switch countries multiple times until it worked.
Tip: Stick with VPN servers from countries where Stake is fully allowed — like Canada, Brazil or Mexico.
4. Keeping the Same IP for Too Long Staying logged in with the same VPN IP for days on end raised suspicion. Stake noticed, and I got logged out randomly mid-session.
What I do now: I rotate IPs every couple of days to keep things smooth and under the radar.
5. Forgetting to Clear Cookies Between Sessions This is a small one — but it made a big difference. Cookies from previous (real IP) sessions can betray you.
Best practice: Use incognito mode or clear your cookies before logging in with VPN.
